her by mail. So far I have not made up my mind yet.

14. The next day at eight o'clock I was at the station but
R…i31 was not there, apparently it leaves only at two in the
afternoon. At two o'clock, while going to the station, I met
I…a Fr…n32, from whom I found out that Ruchcia doesn't leave
until five.

This expectation makes me very nervous. By five o'clock I was
already at the station and I was looking at the road through
the station window. Having seen Ruchcia, I went to meet her
and said goodbye to her. I rejected the plan of traveling with
her to Rzochów as a schoolboy.

15. My mind is busy with R…a.

16. In the evening I talked to Icia33 on a trivial topic, but
during the conversation "we came" across my relationship with
B…a L…34 I told Ici35 quite honestly (she is B…y36's best
friend) that for some reasons I will have to try not to let my
sincere friendship with B…a develop into something bigger, but
I will still be her best friend. But I'm 100% sure of her
thoughts, so I don't want to bother her.

14-25. I think less and less about R…i and but by the way I
don't bother with another one.

25. Taking advantage of the fact that friends of R…i and wrote
a letter to her. I have also added the following letter:

Shalom R…u!

I want to write you a more extensive letter, but please write
if you agree

31. “R…i”, “R…a”, and “R…u” are all Ruchcia Balsam on this page.

32. My guess is that “I..a Fr..n” (later shown to be “Icia” is Idessa Friedman, daughter of Jacob and Szewa Friedman. She was born March 27, 1921. Fate unknown.

33. See note 32.

34. “B…a L….” is Blima Löw.

35. See note 32.

36. “B…y” is Blima Löw.
